I started making balloon animals around 1982 or 1983. I needed a way to make money and mowing lawns just was not cutting it. Considering the average lawn would net me around $8 or $10 and there were only so many lawns to be cut, I needed to do something more. Imagine my surprise when I found that I could make more for a few hours of twisting balloons at a birthday party, restaurant job or at a corporate event then I could doing a weeks worth of lawns. I was sold and decided to learn how to make every balloon animal I could.
These days, the silly make-up of a clown is gone and I work a few gigs a month for extra money at restaurants or corporate events. And not scaring the children as a clown is a extra bonus too.
