Bulldog Tattoo

Over the years I had been playing around with the idea of getting a bulldog tattoo to signify my nickname.  I had never found the one I really liked until around January 2002.  Most of the bulldog's I have seen out at tattoo shops were the typical Marine or mascot bulldog.  Then one day I came across a doodle by an artist named Anita Dufalla on the Wonderful World of Bulldogs webpage.  It was the first image that I really liked.  It captured the attitude that I felt my bulldog should project.  I played with the image a little and added my personal touches to it (like a Kawasaki Vulcan logo to the arm) and took it to my tattoo artist.  Froggy added his flair and we inked it on 8/24/02.

Shaved and ready to rock.  The last view of my unmarked flesh.

Sadly, on January 26, 2004 Froggy, aka John Matthew Herrell passed away.  He will be missed by many not only for his great talent as a tattoo artist, but as a great friend.  I am proud to wear Froggy's art on my body and wish that he had more time with us.  He leaves behind a loving wife and a beautiful baby daughter.  Of those who walked the earth, Froggy was one of the good ones.  He will be missed.  Rest in peace Bro...
